Traveling to Washington DC
Trains to Washington DC are serviced at Union Station, located in the heart of the city it is within walking distance to the National Mall, and the U.S. Capitol. The station has been operating since 1907. Renovations completed in 1988 make the station an architectural destination during your visit to the city. In addition to Amtrak service, local Maryland (MARC), and Virginia (VRE) commuter rails arrive to the station from nearby suburbs, Baltimore and Baltimore/Washington Airport. Connections to the Metro (subway), Metrobus, and the Circulator bus systems as well as local taxi service are easily available at this Washington D.C. train station. Some of the vacation rentals in our system are within walking distance of Union Station, others by subway or bus, and all by taxi for a fare about $10-15.
