Old Town Trolley Tours is a fun way to see the best of Washington, DC. This sightseeing tour operates on a hop-on, hop-off model and offers three loops. The orange loop covers the National Mall and downtown, the red loop is the Arlington National Cemetery shuttle, and the green loop (an additional cost) passes the National Cathedral and heads into uptown. There are 21 stops along these three routes.
A special tour is the monuments by moonlight tour that’s offered March 13 – November at 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., and 8 p.m., or from November 6 – March 12 at 6:30 p.m. Reservations are required for this special tour.
Trolleys begin running at 9 a.m. and the last boarding is at 5 p.m. Tickets for a one-day trolley tour on the orange and red loops starts at around $35 online or $48 for all three loops.
