The Korean War Veterans Memorial is a wall of remembrance within the National Mall. The memorial is open 24 hours a day and requires no passes or fees to visit.
The memorial is a reminder that “our nation honors her sons and daughters who answered the call to defend a country they never knew and a people they never met.” The outdoor memorial has two parts, one to represent our servicemen and women and one to honor them. The representation part is shown by a triangular field, reflective wall with engraved images, and stainless steel statues. The secondary part is a circular pool surrounded by benches for a peaceful moment to reflect and honor those who made sacrifices during the war. The memorial also houses a kiosk where you can access the Korean War Registry.
The Korean War Veterans Memorial is near the Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
