This was a great space, convenient and well fitted for long or short stays with attentive owners. I would recommend it! May 15, 2017 Sabrina (Guest)

Great location and independence that the apartment allows.

Aiko made us instantly feel welcome. Easy to talk to, always available and helped us immediately when things turned up. She gave us some helpful tips as well. The listing description is very accurate: a good sized bedroom with plenty of space to hang up clothes, a washer and dryer, bathroom, a small but well equipped kitchen and a living room. We also enjoyed the hidden surprise, the elipse machine. The apartment is situated on the first floor, Aiko and her husband, Mike, live on the floors above. We stayed for 3 months, March until the end of May. Being from Scandinavia where the days are short and daylight scarce during winter we would have appreciated that the windows were less covered and allowed more daylight in. And that the windows could be opened to let some air in. Those who are staying for shorter stays won't notice this of course. The location is absolutely perfect! Dupont Circle must be the "unofficial" city center. Metro and buses right by, great parks, cafés and restaurants. We enjoy walking and from here we could easily walk to many exiting places: the White House, the Mall, Adams Morgan, Georgetown, the Kennedy Center, etc. We also enjoy biking and access to the trails is only 2 blocks away. We should also mention that here is a grocery store and a CVS not far from the apartment. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in DC in Aiko's apartment. August 30, 2016 Geir (Guest)

Conveniently located near Union Station!

I had a pleasant stay at Guest Quarters. The place is conveniently located near the Union Station in a great neighborhood and very clean. The host is also very friendly, she made the time to introduce herself and made sure that everything was okay with the accommodation. April 2016 June 30, 2016 Andika (Guest)

Nice, homey, comfortable.

Pros: - Ample space with separate bedroom. - Clean (cleaning lady came once/week) - Fridge stocked with breakfast groceries when I arrived - this lasted me 3 weeks! - K-kup machine with cups - Kitchen is very well stocked with appliances - Ample sheets, towels, blankets to choose from - Washer, dryer in the unit - Safe location, extremely accessible (5 min walk from Dupont circle metro) - Relatively quiet (some noise from owners upstairs walking, but not disruptive) - DirectTV and Wifi are all set up Cons: - Kitchen is very small but more than ample if you just need to make a quick breakfast or lunch - Not a con per se, but the owners were very hands off (extremely responsive by text, but I did not meet the owner until I ran into her checking out my last day). - I interacted with several people over email in the procurement of this apartment (including the owner Aiko, and “Steve, Alan, and Paul”). A little explanation about who was who would have been helpful. paying bed and breakfast rates, it would have been nice if groceries were re-stocked weekly. - Toilet paper was not restocked so i had to buy my own (I feel this should be stocked at a B&B) - Encountered a large roach and contacted owner who said she would place roach motels but didn’t get around to it (i understand roaches are unavoidable but would have appreciated better attentiveness to this issue) December 1, 2015 Lauren (Guest)

Great stay

Hi, I stayed here late Sep, 2015 for a whole month. It's really a great place to stay at. Very clean, everything is in order and not mentioning the location in the heart of DC. I truly loved the family above the place especially Jack. Really generous while they had all types of teas for me without a charge, they also provided few days of bread and basic kitchen needs( coffee etc..) I would defiantly recommended to others to stay here and I personally will always try to stay there when I go to D.C. As far as company, they were very professional and very friendly.
