There are 2 bedrooms, each furnished with a queen size bed. The first bedroom, shown with the bookcases on either side of the bed, and writing desk, has a full hall bath with traditional tub and shower. The second, master bedroom, at the rear of the apartment includes an attached bath with large enclosed shower. Additionally, the living room is furnished with a Queen size sofa bed (modern air over springs mattress). Each bedroom is furnished with a flat-screen TV.
Benefiting from a recent renovation, the open floor plan offers a bright space with tall ceilings. The living and dining room flow directly to the updated kitchen This space has many windows and a full glass entry door, so lots of natural light. There are numerous places to gather and relax. Grab a book and curl up on the sofa or catch up on work at the desk; your options are endless. Mornings, the breakfast bar makes a perfect place for a hot cup of coffee and your iPad or cell phone. The oval dining table makes family meals easy. After dinner, perhaps the perfect game table. For those who are here for work, or just need to keep up while on vacation, the vintage desk under a full window is the perfect spot. The sofa opens to a queen size bed allowing for up to 6 guests in the apartment.
The updated and spacious kitchen features stainless appliances, granite countertops and cherry cabinetry. Full size appliances include the refrigerator, dishwasher and uprated gas stove/oven combination. The microwave is built in and countertop appliances include a Keurig coffee maker, toaster oven and electric tea kettle. All cooking and dining utensils are provided and with Eastern Market just around the corner, fresh meals are easy!
One of the finest neighborhoods in Washington, the A Street Flat enjoys one of the best addresses in town. Walk easily to Eastern Market, the U.S. Capitol, Library of Congress, the Congressional Offices (both the House and Senate are close by) and many of the Smithsonian Museums. Eastern Market, Washington's oldest continually operating market offers fresh meats, deli, fish, produce dairy and bakery. Restaurants abound on nearby Pennsylvania Ave, 8th Street/Marine Barracks Row, H Street corridor, and Union Station. Metro entrances are nearby at Eastern Market and South Capitol (Silver, Blue and Orange Metro lines) or Union Station (Red Metro line). Also at Union Station, you will find Amtrak, Virginia Rail Express (VRE), Maryland Area Regional Commuter (MARC), Greyhound/Megabus/Boltbus/Peterpan bus terminal, car rentals (Budget, Avis, Alamo and Hertz), DC Bike Share and all tour buses), as well as an extensive food court and boutique shopping.
The apartment is available year-round. Nightly, Weekly and Monthly rates are available. A minimum stay of 3 nights is required for all early bookings. We may be able to accommodate a 2-night stay for last minute arrivals, please contact us at 877-893-3233 M - F 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. All bed and bath linens are provided. The apartment has private laundry facilities. Internet and cable TV are included. Housekeeping during your stay is not included; however, it can be arranged for an additional fee. On-street parking is available and all District parking restrictions and regulations apply. Indoor parking is available at Union Station. Smoking is only permitted in the patio area. Pets may be accommodated with pre-arranged special permission only and will require an extra cleaning fee and separate security deposit to cover any accidents or damage. Rates are seasonal, Spring and Fall are peak seasons for Washington, D.C. Rates do not include a $100 cleaning fee, the 14.5% DC taxes or the $10 reservation fee.
